Who We Are....

International Law Book Services is popularly known as ILBS both in the book trade and in legal circles.

It commenced its publication business in 1981 at the Ampang Park Shopping Complex, Kuala Lumpur.

ILBS now conducts its business under one roof from its own premises, Wisma ILBS, a five-storey building, in the prestigious Perdana Business Centre in Petaling Jaya.

The Criminal Procedure Code and the National Land Code were its maiden publications. 

The unique cover design of these publications is still maintained 
for most of ILBS publications. This design has now become synonymous with ILBS.

ILBS made history when it published The Constitution of Malaysia in the Tamil language. Even the Indian Constitution is not available in the Tamil language which is the official language of Tamilnadu, India.

Founder: Dr Syed Ibrahim

Dr Syed Ibrahim is the founder and Sole Proprietor of ILBS. He takes a hands-on approach to his business by functioning as the Editor-in-Chief of ILBS. 

He has been involved in the book business, book trade associations and community service organizations in various capacities over a period of two decades. 

He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Law in 1993 in recognition of his numerous contributions and services.

Our Publications

About 1000 titles on over sixty subjects over two decades - that is the record of ILBS.

The publications of ILBS can be classified into 6 categories: (i) Laws of Malaysia on CD-ROM; (ii) Golden Federal Statutes; (iii) Statues with Cases and Commentaries; (iv) Statutes with Notes and Cases: (v) Updated Statutes; and (vi) Legal Forms.

We continuously explore ways of upgrading our publications by research and by seeking inputs from distinguished members of the legal fraternity.

ILBS publications are exhibited at the annual Frankfurt Book Fair. This has provided international exposure to the publications resulting in many foreign customers becoming regular buyers of ILBS publications.
